There is no additional Real value, that I can see to XPX vs. X-Plane 10 is the latest version of a nearly 20 year series of high realistic simulators.
XPX seems to have deviated even further from their typical backward compatibility, some their best Aircraft models like the C162 / Skycatcher will hang during load where you may have to do a soft reboot. There are a lot more aircraft available for XP9, and many of the older versions aircraft, prior to XP9 work in XP9, with some additional adjustments to the flight model. AGL, flying, Type, Make and Models of aircraft available / needed etc. It is not easy to decide, depends on what you intend to use it for, real tool for aviation training, just low, below 1000Ft.
